“La vie est belle”: Life is beautiful for Lancôme
Lancôme has tried to go further with its new fragrance, La vie est belle. More than a fragrance, a whole manifest has been created about true happiness.
More than a fragrance
La vie est belle is a woman perfume with soul, a categorical statement, an ode to freedom.
In a world dominated by constraints and limitations, Lancôme proposes women to break this rule and free themselves in order to achieve happiness. Happiness is the freedom to choose our own way.
It has taken three years of work and 5521 versions for the three master perfumers Olivier Polge, Anne Flipo and Dominique Ropion to hand in the perfect formula they were looking for: to create the first female perfume with notes of Iris, a new olfactory family (Appetizing Female Iris), an exceptional perfume creation.
La vie est belle is a strong but simple statement, like life itself. Therefore, the composition of this perfume is based on simplicity, following the saying “less is more”, La vie est belle consists of 63 ingredients (they seem many, but they are just a few compared to other fragrances), of which nearly half are natural. The most valuable perfumery raw material in perfect balance:
– The Pallida Iris from Florence: one of the most precious and scarce ingredients of perfumery, the perfume base, extending from the heart to the last note, providing an elegant and seductive character to the fragrance.
– The Tunisian Orange Blossom and Jasmine Sambac: light and femininity.
– Vanilla, Tonka Bean, Praline, Blackcurrant and Pear: tasty and sweet facet. The smile.The sweet innocence.
– Indonesian patchouli scent: in its purest essence, ” the heart”, adds depth and strength.
The bottle: “The glass smile”
This perfume is so special that even the bottle has its own name: “Le Sourire de Cristal” (Crystal’s smile), a design created by Georges Delhomme in 1949 for Lancôme perfumes. Now, 63 years later, that design has been rescued and adapted for La vie est belle.
The vessel symbolizes the woman’s aura. The curve of the glass resembles a smile and in its neck, a gray organza wings scarf symbolizes freedom wings. Femininity and happiness in the same bottle.
And who better to embody happiness than the most charismatic cinema smile? Julia Roberts, image of other products of the firm has been selected as the ambassadress of this perfume, because of her femininity, the freedom with which she coped with her career and her wide, contagious, bright and sincere smile. Pure happiness. A woman at her best who transmits confidence and that peace that can only be achieved with physical and spiritual maturity. And in this advert she is simply spectacular.
The add of La vie est belle was directed by Tarsem Singh, who has managed to create an atmosphere of visual purity, playing with lights and shadows, with the symbol of contrasts to the service of the fragrance philosophy.
La vie est belle: more than a perfume, a visión of life.
It breaks with limitations and bonds and enjoys the freedom to choose its own happiness. Lancôme says so and Perfumes Club agrees with this statement.
