Lolita Lempicka celebrates 15th Anniversary
Perfume’s Club celebrates Lolita Lempicka’s 15th birthday since the appearance of her “Le premier parfum” (first Perfume) on the Perfume’s market.
The existence of this beloved fragrance is owed to four women: designers Sylvie de France, Lolita Lempicka (pseudonym of Josiane Maryse Pividal), the president of Catherine Dauphin’s brand and perfumer Annick Menardo. In 1997, these ladies created this perfume with a clear objective: to get a scent that got into the heart and evoked women to a world of dreams.
They were inspired in the world of fairies. The baroque design of the bottle has a romantic touch that reminds of a magical universe. The apple shape symbolizes the forbidden fruit and the original sin, while the ivy branches surrounding it represent the bonds of love, an object of desire.
The perfume’s name was inspired by “Lolita” (a character in Nabokov’s novel, a very young and sexy girl) and the Polish painter’s last name Tamara de Lempicka. Lolita evokes a mix and perfect contrast between innocence and sensuality.
This fragrance aims to connect directly with women’s female side. Its composition is based on the licorice flower along with ivy, anise, violet, tonka bean, vetiver wood and gourmand notes of vanilla and praline that manage to transform every moment of the day in something magic. A whole olfactory emotion, a pleasure for the senses.
Although “Le premier perfum” was born as an eau de perfum, then the eau de toilette version was launched. Despite its youth it has become a “must” among women’s french perfumes in the world.
Its creator, a designer with a unique style based on the fusion between the romantic and contemporary spirit manifested to be inspired in her earliest memories to “restore that moment in which a girl expects to become a woman”. Precisely that moment is when you are 15, Lolita’s age.
Happy birthday Lolita! You have become a woman!
