Makeup Trends: Fall-Winter 2012-13
This season, makeup will become more visible than ever. Although the nude will keep present among the most discreet, the ones in favor of a natural face, this Fall and Winter what will prevail will be a sophisticated makeup, dark and even with a sinister side.
We will update you on all the new Fall-Winter 2012-13 makeup trends:
Purple, dark crimson, cherry red and bordeaux shades will play a leading part this season, following the Gothic “vampire” style from the 20’s (as regards lips) in Fall-Winter 2012-13 makeup. Looking for the contrast between pale skin and deep lipstick color and creating a dramatic, seductive and sophisticated mix. Dark red shades usually look good at any age, all skin tones. Reminder: if you attach importance to the lips, you should take it off to other face areas as the eyes to avoid overloading your look.
In order to create a “bitten lip” visual effect, combine two lipstick shades and apply the darkest on the inner lip side.
Eyeliner will be an essential item this season: the eyeliner. Reminding the “cat eyes” so typical in the 50’s or 60’s, marked or not, thick or thin, anything goes. So keep your eyes at bay to get a sexy look.
Black smokey eyes share the leadership with eyeshadow lighter shades (gray, purple, green, brown, …) that fading on the eye add a bright, sinister and misterious aspect. Metallic eye shadows (blue, violet, …) become also strong. Match them and you will get spectacular flashes.
Thick & marked eyebrows
If you are one of those with bushy eyebrows and are lazy enough to pluck them, you’re lucky this season: eyebrows from the 90’s are back, the so called “Madonna style”.
False eyelash effect
You can choose to use them or eyelash masks which have the same false eyelash effect. Apply them creating the most attractive-dramatic effect.
Peach and pink blushes will be the counterpoint to a more pale and sinister trendy look, adding a touch of color and innocence to cheeks and cheekbones.
You know, when buying makeup this season, follow these trendy tips.
