Makeup Trends Spring-Summer 2013
Weather is coming and with it the colors!
Spring-Summer makeup highlights due to the color explosion: acid, electric or lack of color. You’ll see a few chromatic half-measures this season…
Would you like to see the latest makeup trends for this Season? Little by little…
This season, we’ll see lips in neon and fluor lips. We bet on daring colors: electric pink, fluorescent orange… matte finish.
Red lips will remain a trend, but with an acid touch, well defined.
Fuchsias and pinks will be noted, as the essential look “baby doll”, so trendy this season: big eyelashes, quite market powder blush on the cheeks and intense acid pink for the lips.
If you prefer a lighter look, nude lips are the best option. Choose a gloss or color lip balm, like our favorites: Chubby Stick by Clinique. Pink, coral, …any color that contributes to a candid look, quite attractive.
Eyes: earth tones
- Eyeliner: black loses exclusivity to give way to blue, green, orange colors and it is used to add a color touch to the eyelash top line. Pencil or eyeliner, the tones will change from golden to violet, blue, green, lilac, magenta, …
- Eye shadows: matte tones, quite bright: violets, blues, … The earth tones will be also strong this season together with the nude look. Smokey eye continues being trendy, dark tones also in Summer. Not out of date and ideal for night looks any time of the year.
- Eyelashes: the bigger, the better. False or extra-volume with the help of a good eyelash mask, they’ll keep on being trendy.
Despite being a curious trend, wide-dark eyebrows will keep on being fashion.
Matte shadow tones with contrast against the face luminosity.
We bet on a luminous skin that radiates light. Light- luminous makeup bases. A touch of illuminator on the key face points and bronzing powders will be your allies. Try a magic touch of Touche Éclat by YSL to highlight the face salient points. Your face will radiate light with the Météorites Perles du Paradis by Guerlain, softening facial features and eliminating imperfections.
Naturalness is a priority: light skin, without the perfect cover of a makeup base, hydrated and without imperfections. A cleansing routine, a good concealer and a touch of blush on the cheeks (pink or coral) are the key of this look. The aim is to look healthy and fresh. Trick: apply the same blush tone as eye shadow. Total color!
It seems that this season, hands give up their position to eyes and lips. We move from intense nail polish color to pastel shades. Although the trend in nailart is quite wide. Our tip: paint them the way you like, while you color them.
